Tractor Supply Co has a sale going through the weekend on their Traveller Premium Heavy-Duty Lithium Complex NLGI #2 Grease, 14 oz. Cartridge (red). They list it as two tubes for $3, it works out to $15 for a 10 tube box. Don't know if it is national, just ran across it at the store today (& picked up a box).

I would like to point out that grease with Moly is recommended for loader & backhoe pins, universals and bearings.
It is specifically recommended by CAT on their equipment.
I have used it for 35 years, the Moly does make a difference, IMO.
my 2 cents

I have always used Ford/Lincoln spec moly for everything. When I got my backhoe I noticed the operator manual called for EP Lithium. I invested in a new gun and some EP Lithium grease only to find out it went away very quick and pins would start to creak and squeak. Sounded like I had a cracked boom or something. Went back over with my usual moly grease and it seems to last much longer. It takes over an hour to clean and grease all the fittings so it's not something I want to repeat every week. I installed fitting protectors on all the fittings but you still have to wipe and dig all the dirt from around them.

Make sure your grease is lithium soaped and not calcium soaped. The lithium is more water resistant and doesn't wash out as easily. The molybdenum fortified greases are able to decrease friction and prevent wear vs. non-fortified greases. There is moly in many lubricants including motor oils. I add it to transmission and other gearcases to reduce friction and heat. Do not use it in systems with a wet clutch.

Smear moly fortified grease on all the PTO joints to reduce wear.
