Just purchased a new BX2660. Kubota's brochure on the BX series tractors describes the 1/4 inching value function for the 3-pt along with a picture of the control lever. To me, the picture clearly shows 2 limiting nubs (protrusions) associated with the lever cover (right rear fender). I don't see these on mine. What I do have is a metal bracket way down in the fender that seems like it might have been designed to limit lever travel. Its placement, however, is in no position to engage (or limit) lever travel.

Anyone out there who can describe what's on their BX - i.e., regarding 1/4 inching valve limiting bracket?

Mine is the same way and you pull your lever toward the seat and "bump" it against one of those tabs/protrusions. There are some old threads on here.

My BX2660 is two years old and I sure don't see any dumps for my 3-pt. Are you referring to the lever for raising and lowering the 3-pt? Mine goes up and down, that's all.

On my BX, the lever could move up or down in an "outer" slot, or, if I pulled the lever toward my hip, move up or down in a shorter throw slot.

It takes some getting used to, but it works.

Looking at what's on mine, you describe what one might expect. Problem is, lever doesn't come close to (poorly positioned) metal limit bracket, even after pulling lever inboard till it rubs the shroud. Then again, what's on my "new" BX2660 isn't anything like what's either pictured in the Kubota brochure or on its website.

I took my metal limit bracket and adjusted it so it can now lock my 3 point lever in the lower position giving my 3 point a true float position. If I want the lever to return to neutral just a quick bump with my hand and it springs back to the neutral position. Awesome when working on the driveway and I want the implement to just float on the surface weather the tractor hits a bump or a hole. I do wish it had position control and draft control though and unfortunately I haven't found any way to upgrade my 3 point to have those features.

My BX1860 looks like the pic in the online brochure. Maybe post a pic of what yours looks like, but, the 1/4" stops are on the underside of the fender and can't be seen in that pic anyway. Sometimes you have to adjust the position of the stops to get the 1/4" feature to work right. And when I pull my lever towards the seat to engage the stops, it does rub the lever guide too. I think that's the way it was designed. Also, just remembered, there been some owners on here that bent the stops a bit more to the horizontal position (so they stick out away from the seat more). Sounds like perhaps that's what you need to do too.

Yeah- he is right about that. its easy to spot if you look under fender and see a silver tab sticking out a little. You really gotta hold lever right on the plastic (towards operator) before pushing down otherwise you will miss the tab and go straight to the wide open control that is based on the draft control under seat.

On my BX25 I ended up taking the stops off and bending the end of the tab out just a bit. My lever in the beginning would not even hit the stops now just using a little pull towards me it works great.
