1/4 pop rivets, shank size

Does a 1/4 pop rivet have the size shank as a 3/16 or is a bigger rivet gun required? I need 1/4 pop rivets for the door on my truck the deer caved in. I don"t want to go to HF for the rivets if they won"t fit my gun, They didn"t have the bigger rivet gun in stock. thanks zman

The ones I use at work do, don't know what size they are but they are bigger.

Don't think you could even 'pop' a 1/4 with standard hand poppers.

I have several pop rivit guns that include 4 different size noses...the next to largest is for 3/16 rivits so I'm guessing the biggest is for 1/4 maybe. Never used the smallest or the largest noses.

I just ordered the long handle gun and rivets earlier today from HF , so I will find out when it gets here.
