1" backhoe return line ??

I need to replace the 1" return line on my Kelly Backhoe. It has it's own pump that runs off the PTO. The return line is approx 1" and looking a little sad. Can I use that clear hose with the string braided in it. I'm not sure of the official name for it. It would be nice to have clear so i can look at the fluid going through it. Why you ask?? I don't know.. I believe it's oil resistant.

What if the temp gets up to around 200 degrees, will it handle the heat?

This type hose usually gets very stiff from oil exposure and also turns the color of the oil so it gets real difficult to see the oil flow. If this hose needs to move or bend with BH use it will most likely crack and leak in a short time.

You need a piece of 1" hydraulic return hose; typically rated for 250-350 PSI and reinforced with fabric, not wire. Cheap, clear reinforced poly tubing will not be as durable and may not have a sufficint pressure rating. There is no advantage to watching oil flow back to your reservior. If you need visual therapy, sit on a stream bank and watch the water go by.
