I was here in Northern Ohio, working for a company that makes porcine fixtures (toilets/sinks) that had it's own Generator to keep the Kilns HOT. Man it was NOT FUN it was really HOT anyhow in Ohio and all of N.E. but the shop runs very high humidity (needed.) Then all the kilns and heaters running that place was an oven. It has/had? it's own Diesel Generator powered by 2 12cyl Detroits one on each end running one CW other CCW. Talk about NOISE! that generator room and for miles you could hear em outside cackling away. Our house had power pretty quick vs lots of other places and my farm same. The Shop (was powered thru line/company that started the short circuit was out for a week +.) The power surge killed one of the main transformers, it killed a LOT of electrical stuff in the plant (I worked as industrial electrician so was REAL BUSY.)
