I just did the 2nd hydraulic filter change on my PT180 and cut it open to see how it looked. Not too bad, some flakes as expected. This is in combination with a (regularly cleaned) magnet hanging in the hyd tank. (You probably shouldn't use a hacksaw to cut it open as it will generate a lot of metal chips).

Nice! Which motor is in yours? What tools do you use the most?

Sorry for the delay, I didn't know that you now have click watch to monitor post that you authored.

It is the Subrau Wisconsin Robin (can't see the emblem on the back and haven't thought about it in a few years). Runs like a top and a lot of torque but sucks down a lot of fuel.
I also have 2 other PTs, so my PT180 is used mainly for brush cutting. It is the best tractor made for it's size for that job. I have the articulated blade deck and cut grass around the house and brush in the woods. When I need to move something in a tight area I have forks and the light material bucket (that can be hand loaded full of stone and the tractor manages it).
