100 hp tractor - Dirt pan size?

So, I have a Deere 5100 e 4WD and I'd like to buy a dirt pan. We have no rocks just clay soil. Can anyone educate me on what size dirt pan would be best in this situation?

Also the type of pan, the simple cutting edge scoop type that more HP then the pto power self loading type.

We have a 36 year old 8', 2-1/2 yard dirt pan, called a level-all. We pull it with a 36 year old Hesston 105 HP 2 wheel drive. Loaded tires. Also put a 55 gal barrel of concrete for weight on front of tractor. If the dirt is really tight, we will normally either till, flat brake, or run scarfier teeth before loading.

3 yard would work, next is 5yd & dont think 100hp is enough. Dirt pans pull hard when loading.

That all depends on soil type and moisture.

Agreed. Assume you will need the max hp listed in mfr. specs, or even more hp. 4wd makes a big difference too.
