1000 Series- Snow Plow Angle??

I'm looking at the LT1046. One of the things the dealer told was that you could NOT change the angle of the snow plow from the tractor seat?? Any LT owners that use a snow plow, have an opinion about this? Can you change the angle of the blade from the seat? My brother-in-law has a JD lawn tractor and says you CAN change the angle from the seat. I would be surprised if MTD didn't make a similar snow blade design??

The angle can not be changed on the blade from the seat on the 1000 series. I have the 190-822 blade. The lever you have to pull to allow the blade to swing has holes in it on my blade, so I'm thinking about making an extension to add to it. That way I can swing it from the seat.

Agreed you cant change the blade angle from the seat, that's the one thing I didn't like from CC. My former craftsman blade you could, I am going to modify it so you can. I have a cable and plan to buy some parts from craftsman to make the conversion

I wonder if there is a mod kit avaliable for the blade? It's hard for me to believe that JD has it on their lawn tractor series?? I wonder why CC doesn't? It's cheezy as far as I'm concerned. I hate to say it, but I'm thinking of looking into the Deere's. I haven't bought my tractor yet. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
My brother-in-law bought an L111 JD with the snow plow. I helped him put it together. It's really nice, very bright yellow, but nice.
