1025R
hey everyone, I am thinking about purchasing the frontier post hole for my 1025r. I really would like a green one (just cause) but am considering buying a cheaper one. Either one from CL or Tractor supply, wish I could find a used frontier but have been looking and want to get going on my fencing for my property.

I have researched and from what I have read I can do a 36" auger? Can I save some money and buy the frontier post hole digger then buy a cheaper auger bit? (any suggestions") Such as the bit from tractor supply or something online. I also noticed most of the listings don't show the length of the bit??

I plan on doing a 3 rail post and dowel (western rail fencing I guess) and the phd would be a big help. Would also help with support posts with the field fencing and tposts for pigs.

Basically what are my options and is there a certain type of auger bit I should look for??

I would stick with the Frontier 100. It's made for your tractor, and it's green. Auger sizes are limited to 6,9,12 inches.

I'll be interested in what you go with and how it performs. I'm about 90% sure I'm getting the 1025R...just can't decide if I should wait for the 2017's or get one now.

Our Land Shark PHD is engineered specifically for subcompact tractors like the 1025R.
You can hook up and use models intended for larger tractors, but lifting power and height will not be as good.

Here is a video with Ted & Peanut demonstrating it on our B and BX Kubota tractors.

I have seen that I would have already purchased if it was green and there wasn't a shipping charge. With the shipping it is just about the cost of the frontier phd

We can paint one for you with our EA New Caterpillar Yellow if you request it.
I will ship one to your home in WA for $80. No tax.

I'm seeing the frontier for around $1,100 without an auger.
The Land Shark is $759 including a 9" auger and it's probably a better design. I know ours is a better design than the Land Pride.

I took my boy to the JD dealer this past weekend to see the tractors and scope out some attachments. We saw tractors, yes. Attachments, not so much!
The had 2 pallets with potato plows, a couple rotary cutters, 1 disc harrow, pallet forks, 2 finish mowers, a used box blade on a used tractor and that's it!

Not a single landscape rake, garden bedder, post hole digger, scrape blade, ripper, cultivator, cultipacker, land plane, box blade, plow, tiller....and the list goes on.

If your dealer doesn't stock attachments, order from EA!!

Cat yellow looks good on the 1025R! So does the Wicked Grapple!
