1026r dead as dead can be

Hey folks

I have a 2012 1026r Fel. Was using it today added fuel, check fluids started ran fine was using FEL to grab some gravel and went to reverse and she died. Got nothing. No sounds lights hour meter etc. thought dead battery caused something so I checked that and used jump pack still nothing. any help appreciated..

I'd guess you popped a main fuse. Check the fuse box. You'll need a voltmeter, test light, or have to pull each one to visually inspect.

thanks for your reply, why would the main fuse blow under normal use??

Not sure but there have been many threads posted about this problem on other brands also. Fuse replaced and all was good again but no answer why it blew. I'm just taking a guess this is your problem based on those threads I've read.
If you had lights and other electronics and just a no start I'd say a safety switch (like a seat, clutch, PTO, or neutral) may have failed but when you have nothing its usually a main fuse, battery cable, or bad ground from battery to frame.

i think i checked all of them but Im not getting anything. Nothing electrical at all. Usually would at least hear something or have a light but I got nuthin.

Most tractors have a main fuse near the alternator, not in the fuse box. My old jd did also.

A safety switch wouldnt cut power to guages, hour meter, etc

Ok so next question is does anyone that has a 1026R know where the main fuse would be? I was going to check the box tomorrow i looked earlier but didn't have much luck getting the fuse box open.
