What's the smallest tractor and loader I can get where the loader has a removable bucket (so I can easily change to pallet forks)? I'm looking at a 1030 with a 210TL loader, or a 2030 with a 240TL.
I have the 1030 with a 210TL bucket, but it does not have a quick change bucket. I was not aware that that was an option for the 210TL loader. The bucket can be removed by taking out the three pins that hold it on, but I'm not sure you would get loader forks that attach the same way with the pins. You might be able to find an aftermarket quickattach conversion system for the loader, but I think the dealer would know best about that.
Our standard line of loaders which include the quick attach feature starts at around 17 HP - however we have done some custom builds in the 10-20 HP range that include quick attach. The problem that occurs is that the quick attach (skid-steer) plate adds a lot of weight and smaller loaders/tractor combinations already have a limited lift capacity. I would recommended going as big as you can - I've never heard anyone complain because they could lift too much or their tractor was too big.
Thanks for the advice. I was thinking that the NH quick attach system would add the least amount of weight. I think the 2030 is the right way to go here.
