So did my 10 hour service on my loader. Retorqued all the pins and mounting bolts. Now here's the question, do all the pins have to be flush w/ the casting (grease zerk end) to get the proper torque? Some of mine stick out a little bit (about 1/8 of an inch). And what keeps them tight, being off center can't be the only thing is it? Some of my pins, the nut doesnt even touch the casting, just comes to rest on the shoulder of the pin, with a little gap before the cast pieces. I torqued mine, ran the loader up and down twice, and they were all loose again. Anyone having problems with these off center pins coming loose all the time? Might just be me, but it doesn't seem like the best design. All the loader tractors we have on the farm, there isn't a one we have touched the loader on in over 10 years, some longer than that.
