Oil & Fuel 10W30 synthetic oil

Need some advice. I just received my MF1643 yesterday with 1.1 hours on it, so I have a ways to go before the 50 hour service, but I wanted to get some opinions. I was reading the owners manual and it recommended using 10W30 in the temperature ranges I'll be running. I'd like to use synthetic oil, but all the oils I've seen in that weight don't meet the latest diesel specifications. Does anyone have recommendations for what brand of oil to use? Thanks.

Amsoil has several synthetic Diesel oils, all of which would probably work in place of a 10w30.

You can call them, and talk to an expert, for a specific recommendation.

Are you certain you need the latest diesel specs? The new specs relate to vehicle (cars and trucks) filtration system to remove particles. Mobil Delvac 1, and Rotella synthetic have high ratings as far as API specs, which should more than satisfy a tractor engine requirements.

You do need the latest specs. The manual states cc, which was obsolete in 1961.

Amsoil 10W30/30 is a great product.

While you are under warranty, I would follow the reccommended specs.

Rotella is available in semi-synthetic 10w-30. Most any Wally World.
Rotella full synthetic 5w-40 as well.
