Anybody got the high mount air filter for the 1100? Where does it mount? How do they route the hoses? Do you use the same filter and canister as stock. Pictures would be great.
There are several RTV owners that have the High Rise Air Intakes for the 1100 series & would be more that happy to give you a true answer >>>
On my RTV 900, it comes as a whole new kit, bigger filters, hoses , and set-up systems. I would believe, the 1100 would also have bigger filters and plumbing as the 900, but different routing for due of the cab <<<<
Filter stays where it is. You take off the plastic part that clamps onto the inlet and there is a new part that has an elbow with clamps. The part is flat enough to got between the bed and the cab without being crushed. The kit then transitions to a round steel pipe that goes up top with a swirl type precleaner mounted there. The precleaner traps alot of big dust particles and like everthing about it but the price. Took around 30 minute or less to install.
Okay, that was my guess as there is a couple tabs welded in front of the bed, I take it thats where the flat piece bolts on. If you had a picture that would be great. I am thinking about making my own.
There is a picture of it in the silver colored RTV900/RTV1100 sales brochure. It may be hard to make as it is flat and S shaped and then transitions to the round pipe if you ordered the one piece as parts you could make the rest.
