2.5% of 1200 is only 30.00 I dont think that should be a problem for a kubota dealer if they really wanted to make a sale. He only wanted to put 1200 on the credit card.
My John Deere Dealer would put a new tractor on a card if you wanted to.

Its very simple... most credit cards charge the dealer 2.5% of the transaction... thats a solid $400 out of the dealers pocket for swiping your card. People ask all the time if they can pay with a card so they get airline miles and stuff, we don't do it either... heck I can buy you an airline ticket for the fee they charge me!

Kubota has 0/42 on the RTV1100 right now, and they also have their own credit card that you could use.

my bad... I thought you where putting the entire purchase on a credit card. I agree, its pretty lame not to take it for $1200.

oh well nuthin i can do about it now but think of what could have been . i'll just look at other brands . i sure ain't gonna buy one from the guy by my house he wnated 16k for a basic model . he had a whole line of them out front and then they started going all of a sudden . the sales man told me he was saleing them as fast as he gets them but my dad went and talked to the mechanic and he said that they shipped them to another dealer because they couldn't sale them.not the machines fault just the salesman trying to get to high of a price and not wanting to budge on the price.

I know my local dealer is upset with the way some rules work. I live close to the border of two other states. If I were to buy from an out of state dealer I wouldn't have to pay any sales tax until I went to title the unit. Not that I'd recommend it, but I do know of some people who never saw the need of going down to title their unit...

Interesting, I thought if you did not purchase it outright, you would have to get a title because of the credit. Is this not the case in all states?

I have to plead ignorance (shocker :D) as to what the rules are in other states. I really don't know.
