Good catch on that. I didn't really read what he was doing till you said something. I was just concentrating on the relays and sourcing them. I don't think the lights would ever see 220v, if both relays kicked in with different phases feeding them he would have a dead short phase to phase and trip some of the breakers correct? Assuming he would tie the output of both relays together and feed the lights with one wire from that.

Feed the relay with the same feed as the wall switch.

He is running a couple of lights, not a compressor or pump. 15 amp, 110 volt. You should not switch the neutral.

And BTW, it's all single phase.

If you wanted to do this more plug and play.

Get a thingie that makes two light sockets out of one. Screw in one of those other thingies that allow you to plug in an adapter. Small, DC, anything from 5 to 24 volts.

Use low voltage wiring to a couple of (cheap) solid state relays with the switching SCR side in parallel with the light switches you wish to control. The SS relays usually have a very wide 5-24 or greater DC control input (optically coupled).

Without seeing the actual arrangement, I could not say, how to enclose the SS relays. Two would fit in a cigarette pack. They are small.

why wouldn't he be tying into the main circuit he was using for the light switch, he's just replicating the light switch and wiring in parallel, should only be using the opener as a signal for the contactor.

I misread the origional question and interpreted it to mean power the lights from both a wall switch and power at the door opener using two different sources.

Using the lamp feature on an opener as well as a wall switch would require using two relays or contactors, with a common power source feeding both relays to energize the lights, as well as switched power provided by the control circuits.

If continuous light is desired by only opening the garage door, and not using the wall switch, the barrier that still needs to be overcome is the time delay on the garage door opener light.

Another perhaps simpler option and would accomplish the same result would be a momentary switch mounted on the door track and adjusted to close when the overhead door reaches the open position. This would require only two wires, Power and a switch leg to the lamps.
