If you come to TEXAS, and get in the real wilderness, (by that I mean like 20 miles from no where civilzed) you'll see the larger than life specimens if you spend a fair amount of time outdoors.
This was real. According to the fellow who caught this one, In the wild, they are fairly common, the granddaddy rattlers. Sometimes they are in such a thicket, that you can't get to them.
