I have been trying to keep my tractor running but having a problem. It starts and runs till it just slows to a stop. New filters, and bled. I read something about the return line back pressure. Yes the line dosnt have flow like normal. So if I find it on the pump and blow it out, is this all that normally needs done, or is their something inside the pump that will need attention? Oh this is a David Brown/Case 1194 (1984). Don't seem to find much on the net about it, and thought maybe you might know of something or where I should look for advice. Thanks Chet 1984 vintage

G'day return line fuel is the bleed off from the injectors I would be looking for a blockage in the supply line from the tank, take the line from the fuel tank into the lift pump off and blow back into the tank with compressed air, refit the line and bleed and see how that goes if it cures your prob then the tank prob needs to come off and be cleaned out. Also on the top of the prime/lift pump there should be a small plate that you can remove there is usually a brass screen in there that often gets overlooked pull it out and give it a clean.

Thanks Jon makes perfect sense that a line from tank may have crap over the outlet and being a nuisance. Didn't know about the screen on top the lift pump. When it gets light in about 4hrs I will give it a go, thanks for your time. Chet

Jon, Thanks for the help, definetaly something inside the tank, can't imagine what. The feed line is about half way up the tank on the side wall. Which also makes no sense to me. But when I took the line off the tank it just barley came out until I probed it and then it flowed. Did that 4 times today to keep it running.

Thanks again for the help. Found broken interior cable for the tach also today. Appears the right angle adapter is also bound, need to find one of those, might have one on my TR6.
