How do the wings float? Seems if you put it in float everything would come down. I guess if you have your height cylinder adjusted correctly with shims it would be ok though

Good question. I have not mowed with it yet. The dealer fixed it all up for me. Not sure how it works really. They just said it was plummed a little differently. Maybe check valves or something? I really don't know. I unhooked it at the farm and loaded up the 5740 and headed home with the tractor and left the cutter.

My Bush Hog brand 12' BW has channels the ends of the hydraulic lift cylinder that the ends float in. This allows movement of the wings without any float action of the hydraulic cylinders themselves. The wheels on the wings follow the terrain moving the wings up and down. The channel is circled in yellow.
