I have a JD 3203 which as everyone knows has no extra hyd ports. Does have 2 remote valves for the loader. Now my ? is, would a 12 volt hyd pump like those used on dump beds, pick-up bale spears, etc. work for adding one remote? Deere doesn't even offer any kind of kit to add more scv's.I don't own anything that requires extra hyd hookups, which is one reason for buying the 3203 vs. 3320. I would like to have a hyd center link for use with my snowblower, and back blade, as to not dig into the gravel, but still cut down to the asphalt drive. As I have both surfaces to keep cleared.
As a refference to look at check out Washburn Company & hayspear.com Hay bale spear- spike- mover- stacker & carrier & gate latch and look at their pick-up bale spear/mover. I would think that if that type of pump can lift 1 ton bales it should handle the light duty work I will be using it for.
Finding a suitable mounting location might be interesting, but fun to fab up a mount. Any info or your input to this would be great.
Thanks

The problem you will have with a electric pump the the amperage draw. You battery and alternator wouldn't last long at all.

I just went through the JD configurator and didn't even see the PowerBeyond option which you could use to add your own valve...But there may still be ports on the tranny case or SCV if these parts are common the the 3320. The other option is a electric diverter that would effectively "split" one of the loader functions (usually the dump/curl) into two function, then you could run hoses to the rear and add couplers.

Thanks Kennyd, as for the amp draw I would think that it would be pretty minimal as it will only take less than 5 seconds to set the link where I need it. It won't be running constantly.
I have heard of the electric diverter and it sounds like it could work also. Now where do I source one of these which would work on the 3203? Thanks

There are three main sources:

THIS on from the Surplus Center is what I have, but you will need to acquire all the fittings and hoses and make your own brackets yourself. This can be a daunting task if this is your first hydraulic project. THIS one will work also. you will also have to come up with your own switch for the joystick or dash.

WR Long also have diverters, they come in a kit form with all the parts, You can call and talk to Nelson, he may customize a kit for you if you tell him the length hoses you need to reach the back, his kits are usually put on the loader arms.

FASSE also makes a kit (again for the FEL), but you will have to order it though your JD dealer.

My suggestion is to call WR Long, they will set you up nicely:D

Also, do a search here on TBN for these terms to learn more about them...

Thanks again Kennyd. WR Long may be the way I go with this project. Will call them to see what's available and of course the $$ involved.

JJMAROTZ,
you might check your parts book (a must-have) for the 3203 to
see if there is a diverter plug for your tractor's hydraulic block. Look
carefully at each hydraulics page and the diverter (if one exists) may
be a small hex socket machine screw called a "plug".

Although an "electric-over hydraulic" power unit would work for
your hyd toplink application, where would you put it? They have
their own hyd reservoir and filter.

Electric diverter may be your only recourse, as stated.

I was wondering if you could split your remotes. I have seen these at my local Rural King and checked their website to see if they were available online. Would this take care of the problem. Rural King Farm and Home Internet Store

The thing to watch for on these 12 volt DC pumps is the duty cycle. They're not made to run more than a few minutes out of every ten or so.

You had mentioned that you'd probably set the top link and leave it. In this scenario it would be fine, but if you start using it for something more demanding, it may develop problems.
