12' x 24' Run In Lean To Shed Row HELP???

Hello All,

My wife wants a shelter for her big warmblood mare for this coming winter. I was planning on the following for construction, but not sure if I need more posts.

(6) 4x6 Posts, 4 at the corners and two in the middle

Or do I need to have more posts to fill that 12' span? I am totally lost.

12' between the posts seems excessive.

I'd make the spacing 8' on the long sides and 6' on the short sides-requiring four more posts.
