1220 Mid PTO

Hello,
I posted yesterday about a 1220 with no Mid PTO. I called one NH dealer and was told the mid PTO was standard on all 1220,s and he didn't think I could order it. I got a reply here confirming this. Are there any places I could check, tractor boneyards for a unit or would ya just give up on the mid mount. I stopped by a NH dealer today and he said several of the major parts alone would be over $300 and he wouldn't know untill he ordered if they were all available.

Just a note, it's probably best to continue replying to your one thread, rather than starting more on the same topic. Now folks will have to search around to see what your other message & reply was all about... : )

So, do you have a gear drive, or a hydro tractor?

Such things are very, very expensive to buy later. If you need it, I would sure search around on bone yards, where you should get it for about 50% of new. Which still will be quite a bit, I'll guess.

Thanks for the advice on both counts.

I'm not in a big hurry to get the mmm going, if I had to shop around for 6 months or so than would be fine. I'm just wondering about the likelihood of ever finding a scrapped PTO or tractor.

I bought the tractor from a retired guy locally who always has an inventory of 15 or 20 tractors, I'll go back and see if he would have any sources. There is also a label on the 1220 from a rental store, maybe they removed it for some reason and it's sitting in a corner somewhere.I also get the impression this isn't just an add on, the case needs to be be split to add a gear/shaft whatever. That's probably why it was standard equipment, too expensive to add later.

Is there a web source for tractor graveyards?

Hey , the good news is I have a Cub 1872 SGT with a 60" deck and I enjoy mowing with it!
