1233 massey ???????

i have a 233 Massey. Saturday. it ran well while i pushed limbs out of trails after the ice storm of a few weeks ago. When i got back to the tractor shed, i stood up to get off. The tractor immediately died. the following works .... glow plug, horn, lights, etc. the seat safety switch will make a clicking sound under the hood when i press on it. the nueteral gear safety switch does not. but i am also very hard of hearing very hard and did not have my aids with me.

am i wrong in suspecting a safety switch in that it ran perfectly until i stood up?

as i was pushing limbs and down trees, limbs would flip for me to run over, etc. to break a wire?


the two safeties that i can id are neutral and seat. the pto wire / switch will take some looking for? each switch that i found have 2 wires leading to the switch.

to test the switch can i simply connect the two wires going to the switch? then make sure all is safe and try to start the tractor ........ any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

If you are feeling lucky, just take a look underneath the platform and look for any dangling wires. A branch has snagged a safety wire and it should be obvious right away. When you find it, wire tye it up and remember it for next time you work in the brush. Multiple past experiences.

i have seen no loose wires. my question is can i just connectt he 2 wires going to each switch together to by pass the switch rather than to buy a new switch and replace it hoping that this is the fix. i am trying to void loadin it to haul it to dealer and to not just buy several parts to hope to fix it.

i am thankfull it is not in the woods but i am still quite a distance from the dealer.
