Ok I have the chance of 1250/w 1246 loader or a 1433/w1466 loader.
Both need a little care and maintaincs. I have replaced the ring gear and pinion in the 1250 now I belive the clutch is going out.

My real question is . Which is best to spend time and money on?

1250 I have noticed a few oil leaks . I belive the location on gears and controls seem to be placed better on the 1250.

1433: i have seen a few cracks on loader and one under motor on frame. The loader is real jumpy?

can any one help? Tim

I would spend it on the 1433. I have had a 1250 and now have the turbo version of the 1433, a 1440. The 1400 series seems to be made heavier duty than the 1200s were. Even the front axle is larger. I also prefer the shifter location on the 1250 the best, but there are several things on the 1400 that I like better. Some of them are that the hood lifts up so that you can get to everything. The radiator screen can be cleaned even with the loader on without bending it. The fuel filter is about a 100 times easier to replace. The dipstick can be checked without opening the hood or removing the side panel like on a 1250. The factory grill guard flips down so that you can get to the battery. As far as the loaders go, they are the same loader with a different sticker. If it has some cracks, weld them up. If it is jumpy, there may be a fitting that isn’t tight enough. I don’t guess that you have a picture of the crack under the motor do you?

I would prefer the older 1250. I belive that they were nicer to drive, The ROPS set-up was better and didn't make as much noise. The shifters were in a better place on the 1200's for my taste. The tool box was steel instead of plastic. I also liked the you could disengage the PTO from the seat instead of the rear of the machine. I wouldn't buy a 1400 with cracks in the loader & frame unless I could "steal" it. That would lead me to belive the machine was used hard and probably not well taken care of.

That little dinky plastic tool box was the second thing that I changed. Off with the plastic on with the larger ammo box.:)
