I was adding an aux fuse panel on my RZR this evening and that got me thinking - why does this thing NOT short out. The battery is under the seat, connections are booted but FAR from waterproof. I see RZR's/Rhinos/Etc all the time in DEEP water, enough that it is over the battery area, in the contacts, etc - why don't they totally short out? When I was installing my panel I was concerned with putting it at the highest point and such and just thinking about it more made me wonder....

The reason it doesn't short out is that the water has too much resistance to short the battery.

Try it in the ocean, dead sea, or great salt lake :)
