I have just got a (new to me) 1300D and have been going over it to fix all that I can find wrong. I have put on a new seat, oil and grease. I found this and can't find anything on it so will post with question? is there a spacer that goes here or they just didn't get the studs in all the way. I also have to chance out the tranny fluid as its got milk in there. All said and done with it will do what I want to do and then some.
By the way, glad to find TBN some good info on here and people that want to help!
the first picture is new tractor and number two is what I have question on?

Hi Kwin & welcome . I cant say for sure what the studs are. Maybe for a pto shield ?, But I have the same 1300D . & there the same as Yours , Without the nuts , heres a pic of Mine, Looks just like yours.

As far as the Milky fluid. Theres 2 vent hoses on the rear axle right on top , Left & right of the seat . I have pics in here somewhere . The hoses were missing on Mine & the guy preasure washed it & got water in those 2 nipples. I,ve since drained Mine, Put hoses on that were missing , Just ran them aiming down by the side of the gearbox & no problems since . I hope that helps . Bob

Last 3 pics are where the vent hoses were missing .

Interesting. Maybe the original Japanese-style 2 point tiller mount attached there?

As for the vent hoses - my American 186D, a similar size tractor, has inverted J vent tubes there. I presume yours have hoses because the Japanese application for these was to rototill in water that was right up to the seat cushion, while American farming is 'dry' farming.

Here's a photo I found long ago on Yanmar-Japan's website illustrating diverse applications worldwide. They apparently think this submerged use (Vietnam lowland??) is normal, and design for it.

Thanks Cowboy and Californis I do have the hoses on. I guess that I won't worry about the studs then as they say if it isn't broke then leave it alone!! I do think the water is coming from gear shift boot so I'll get a new one. Thanks both'

The other poster was correct. Those were the bottom two studs that held the two point tiller mount. The top two have been used for the top three point mount.

Hi kwin, the studs (all four) are to hook a tiller. At least that's how it works with my YM1100D. You can hook the tiller (original Yanmar tiller) directly to the PTO.
My photos don't show the connetion, but I haven't got any better right now.

The stud that you have with the nut was used to attach the bracket and pivot mount for the 2 pt tiller (as you can note in the picture below). This picture is of a 1510D and therefore, not exactly the same, but the same idea.

Nik, Witam serdecznie do TBN!!

Mike
