Have you done normal operator maintenance such as fuel filter, proper bleeding, fresh fuel, checked/replaced air filter. The problem must be related to the hard cold starts. My YM2000B starts immediately after sitting for a year. All you have is air (in/out), fuel and compression.
BTW just realized you said the dealer said it "lost it's prime". That's a fuel system problem, (air getting in lines).

These tractors are really not that ild when it comes to tractors. There is not much difference in many of these older yanmars and tracors built as early as 15 to 20 years ago.
