1308 front PTO speed

I think that's one reason Bolens doesn't recommend the 1948 on a TX tractor. It also puts a lot of stress on the front axle which can be particularly detrimental to the smaller 4wd units. I also read one owner that had problems with the frame bending on his application with a 1948. One thing to help alleviate the issue might be to install wheels on the blower. Then you wouldn't need to lift it as much and it makes it a lot easier to steer around vs. dragging on the skid shoes during operation. Power starts to become questionable also but snowblowing seems to gobble up as much hp as you can throw at it anyway.
