My engine is occasionally smoking and not firing right when it first starts or idles. It isn't a really hard miss like a non firing injector, just not as smooth as the normal purr. It's not consistent but seems to be happening more often. I'm thinking a partially clogged or clogging injector.
It smokes a lot and isn't firing smoothly, as it normally does. But, in a few moments like maybe 45 it clears right up. Higher RPM clears it up, it runs more smoothly and everything seems fine. Maybe some Power service in the tank?
I recently had them out when reconditioning the head. I don稚 know if this was a problem before the rebuild because it was getting water in the center cylinder so it pitched a fit anyway. I was extremely careful with them and kept the injectors sealed in baggies when on the bench. I even numbered them so I know they are back in the same jug.
