Hi all. I have a MF 1428v with a 1464 loader that has a frozen/locked-up loader valve and the three-point isn't working at all. Basic what-happened: was carrying some rotted wood in the bucket, a couple pieces fell off and I hit them with the bottom of the tractor. Immediately thereafter the hydraulics went kaput--it didn't drop the bucket but the hitch wouldn't work and the loader wouldn't work except just a little bit. Having disconnected the underside quick disconnects many times, I went through all of those and made sure they were connected, but that didn't help. I also took apart the main relief valve and it looks fine. I've taken the relief valve out of the loader valve and it seems ok (but doesn't seem to have a way to come apart), and overall nothing seems to free up the loader valve. Fluid level is fine.
What do you think? Is the next step to take apart the loader valve and look for a broken spring/debris? Could the loader valve affect the three point like that? I'm pretty good with basic mechanical troubleshooting, but hydraulics are more of a mystery to me. Thanks to you all for your thoughts.
