This is my first post on TBN, so please excuse me if this is in the wrong place or has been asked before. I have owned my 3515H for just over a year now. This is my first tractor and so far I am really enjoying it. My brother gave me a Tuff Top canopy for Christmas. I hope to get it installed this weekend. Unfortunately my tractor lives 3 hours north of me. That means I only get to play with it a couple weekends a month. The ROPS has a pretty significant forward lean to it. The canopy is adjustable, but I think it will still have more forward lean than I want. Being that I'm 6' 6", it would make it almost impossible to use. I drove past a dealer last weekend. They had a 3015 with the ROPS in a more upright position. I went online and have seen several photos of tractors in this same "Alternate" position. I have attached two photos. One showing the forward lean and one in the alternate. I would like to know if anybody is running their ROPS in this position and if so, is it really safe. It would appear that the bottom of the tube is resting on the pin and the set screw is tightened against the front of the tube to hold it in place. Will the ROPS serve it's intended purpose in this position? My land is very flat and at least so far I have only worked at low speed, so rollover is not a huge concern. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
