1500D Front drive grease fittings

What are the grease fittings for on the upper gear case and lower knucle portions of the front axle assembly, I thought the bevel gears, shafts and axles were lubricated by gear lube.

I think those are actually supposed to be plugs. I have had a few customers tell me that their tractors came with grease fittings there too. I think someone just put them in there because they lost the plug and they fit- or else to make lubricating easier. You do not want to use grease in there though. Use 90wt gear lube.
