Well, my new to me 1500D that I haven't used much since owning, has less than 60HRS on it, started leaking fluid on the front axle. I tighten everything up bit noticed a piece of what looks like a seal on the top of the spindle thing was sticking out? It also developed a squeak from the front after it started losing fluid? HELP! Where do I get parts for this thing and what have I done wrong? Has very little hours on it and why is ti leaking now?

you can get parts at Hoye ( an advertiser on the site) Yanmar Tractor Parts: YM1500_1500D. You may have done nothing wrong, Seals go bad. Dirt and crud can also get into the seal area and cause problems. It may be the original 30+ yr old seal

If you don't have a manual. I have no idea.If it's like my 3110d It's pretty straight forward. Just take the hub apart (if that,s
where the seal is) Someone may be able to help you,Several members have the 1500 D. It shouldn,t be that difficult

Hi John. I think a picture or two would be helpful to understand which seal you are referring to. I'm assuming it's #68 in the drawing. #23 is the common one to leak on these. The other question is what fluid was used in the axle. If it's a VN reconditioned one they may have put a flow able grease in it. Mine had it and it sucks. It's like trying to clean out molasses. If that's what is I there you need to consider going through the axle and cleaning it out. It's very easy to take the hub off the tractor. There's either a bolt at the top of the right hub or steering linkage with a through bolt like some ball joint on the left hub. http://www.hoyetractor.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=YM15004WDEXTERNAL

Also, do you know if you have a green or red 1500d.
