1523 Hydraulic Question.

Hi All,

Just got a 1523H today, and will soon be getting a Wallenstein WX 310 log splitter. We did not get the pedestal mounted controller, since the splitter has a controller on it.

What I wanted to know is, can we simply put quick connect couplers on the lines coming off the hydro, located under the right running board, and run the splitter that way?

Is it really that simple?

I would think so, I believe the lines you are referring to are constant on.

From looking at the housing and lines, I would say that loop is to connect the in and out on the manifold. It that is right then the loop would be removed to install control valves, power beyond hoses etc. I don't have any 1500 series manuals, so I can't say for sure though.
I thought I posted on this yesterday but I can't find it. The loader and backhoe manuals are really cheap on Ebay. Get you one of each and you will know what is going on for sure. Or, the ones for the 1200 and 1400 series have a lot of information in them and I can't see that they would have changed them that much.
