3-Point Hitch 1528 3 point hitch won't go down ?

2 year old 1528 with 240hrs, suddenly the three point hitch won't go down. The lever is moving and pivoting on the gear box/chassi, but nothing is happening.

Can anyone be of assistance ?

check the rate of decent control dial between under the front of the seat just above the platform area.

you can adjust the dial by turning it clockwise (turtle) or counterclockwise (rabbit).

if the dial is turned all the way to the "turtle" position, the three point hitch will not go down.

Thanks, I read the manual last night, and that was the problem. I have had the tractor for two years, not once used that dial, lent the tractor to the neighbor, he couldn't figure out how to take off the parking brake and played with every knob and lever he could find....he says he didn't, but hey its my old man, I know him better then that.

I had the same exact thing happen to me on my 1528 the other day, but it was my 14 year old that had left it that way. Figured it out after I checked the troubleshooting section.
