I've had my 1533 for a couple of months now and have a few questions or observations maybe someone can comment on.
When I turn off the tractor, there is a hum that continues for a few seconds towards the front, then a click, then all is quiet. Is that an electric fan?
The engine heating lamp comes on for much longer than I would expect in the Texas summer heat. I haven't been waiting until it goes out and it starts right up. The light stays on after staring for a few more seconds, maybe thirty. Seems that it shouldn't do that.
The most surprising and bothersome. When I am shredding, the tractor bounces quite a bit. My old John Deere 850 never bounced that I recall. I may just be going faster than I think. With the 850, being a geared tractor, you floored the pedal to get to PTO speed at whatever gear you are in and you are set. I think I usually had it in Low 2 or 3. It just had High and Low. With the 1533 HST, you can obviously vary your forward speed. I have been using Mid range for shredding. At a certain speed, it starts bouncing. Not good for the loader or my back. I can slow down to the point that it stops bouncing but it feels like I am going slower than I used to go with the 850. At what range do most set their HST for shredding?
Also, I have used the HST cruise so I don't have to constantly press the pedal. I does help, but I noticed I have to set it at a faster than the speed I want to cruise at because the speed will drop a bit after I release the pedal.
