1533 question

Was looking at getting a set of forks for the front of my tractor and had a question. It says it will accept skid steer style quick disconnect forks. I saw some forks for sale but is there a backing plate I would have to buy to. I wasn't sure if a skid steer already had a backing mounting plate.

It looks like those are replacement forks so come short the skid steer mount so you'd have to add that. If it were me I'd just get a set of skid steer forks from Titan, Bradco etc. else that comes complete and ready to replace the bucket without needing anything else. Choose a weight rating consistent with your loaders lift capacity and be done with it.

Yep those r replacement forks and not the whole item you need. Forks are very common so a local dealer or Craigslist/eBay will have them. Several online folks have them as well. Avoid the ones that have a lot of solid metal around the top of the back. It makes it hard to see what you are doing from the drivers seat. I'm sure the rental yard has some if you are in a pinch.

I personally wouldn't pay more than $550 (shipped or local) for a CUT pallet fork, unless it was something special that could be used on 3 point as well as SSQA or had other attachments such as bale spears, etc.

I'm almost certain you have a skid steer mount loader and bucket. If you see the disconnect levers on the bottom rear of the bucket then you know for sure. It's made by KMW (Kansas Machine Works) BTW. KMW supplies the loaders and backhoes for the 1500 series machines. You should see a KMW sticker on your loader. The sales data for your machine also says you have a skid steer type mount.
