Tractor
Mahindra 1533
160 hrs since Aug. 2016 and so far no issues that were not operator caused. Unless the stickers peeling on the shifter bother someone, little fade on black plastic, or moisture in dash until warm. The biggest issue has been the hand throttle freezing. It won't move until it warms up. I'm guessing moisture is in cable, i tried wd-40 to lube it.

It's a 1533 shuttle shift, normal Mahindra. Having to stop to shift gears can slow things down a bit and difficult to explain to others trying to learn how to drive a tractor. But I was there too.

I have chisel plowed approx 20 acres, used a box blade on fields, pulled a five tooth cultivator, used ratchet rake for brush, weeds on fence row, and smoothed horse area. (Wife has rescue horses (they all range from been beaten, neglected, one eye, and one broken back when he was a colt).

Started clearing 10 acres of small trees and brush, this seems to be at limits of loader with ratchet rake. Or could be just me. I have also cleared a road/trail around property with box blade.

Plus normal bushhog with 6ft mower lots of woody weeds, used post hole digger for fence, and general loader stuff.

Every fluid changed by dealer at 50 hrs.. I just changed the oil at 150hr second change, 15/40 blended. There was the normal metal powder on drain plugs, nothing alarming! I'm hoping the filters for 1538 will fit so i don't have to buy "Mahindra"$$$ when i hit 250hrs.

There may have been a time I wish I had bigger tractor (oneday) like a jd 7530 or even Mahindra 5555, but the 1533 has never let me down. I had intended to buy the 1526 but the salesman thought it may be small for what I needed. It's been great work horse so far, and if anyone is looking at it i would say pull the trigger.

The 1533 and 1538 use the same engine so I'm sure the filters are the same. They just detune it a bit for the 33. I have a 1538 shuttle.

You shouldn't have to stop to get the gears to shift on the 1533 if your getting resistance on the shuttle when trying to shift forward to reverse your clutch needs to be adjusted just a hair... its got one of the smother shifting systems in that shuttle category. Now if your moving and have a heavy load on the front or back then you don't want to load the clutch like that at a fast pace you will want to stop or almost near it and ease into it. the 33 and 38 are two of my favorites when not looking at price... If you upgrade id recommend the 4540 rather than the 5555 youll upgrade much more on what the loader and tractor can push and lift that way.. and they cost only a few k more than the 33
