I get tired of calling the dealer every time I get stumped with some tractor quandry so I decided I needed a shop manual. Called local dealer parts and he checked on ordering one. He called back and said MF manual was $175. I was figuring $50-$75 for one. He also said he could get them cheaper, but they hadn't been released to his supplier because 1500s were new models. He said in the next 6 months to a year he could probably get me one for under $50. I do know I can't find one online.
Anybody had this experience? Anybody priced manuals for a 1500 series tractor?
Just trying to figure out if this old boy is blowing smoke up my orifice. He's running for a local political office so I figured surely he wouldn't lie, but I'm kind of wondering. I haven't called any out-of-town folks yet, but I plan to.
