1533 Zerks

How do you 1533 owners grease the zerks on the clutch and brake pedals?They seem to be totally inaccesable.

Depending on the year, I think there is an an access hole on the platform. You will need to pull back on the floor mat to to see the hole.

Some even had rubber plugs that you remove on the platform.

My 1445 has plugs you take out to grease, then I just pop them back in when I am done. Mine actually has a little picture next to the plug to show where to grease.

I asked my service guy about this. He told me I'd better have a very flexible hose.

And after you pull the plugs it's next to impossible to get the fitting over the zerk.

I have greased it with no problems at all, I have a Lincoln battery powered grease gun, pop the plugs, put the hose on the fitting, pulled the trigger, pulled the hose off, put the plugs back in. I am a Diesel Mechanic by trade and believe me, I have found grease fittings in much worse places, just because they are not in a "wipe open" spot doesn't mean they are hard to get too.
