1547 hst doesn't want to return to neutral

when i push the pedal to forward and reverse the tractor will not return to neutral unless i pull the pedal up. i removed the damper to test the return. it got a little better but not much. forward is much worse then reverse. i also lubed the linkage to no avail... anyone have any ideas? i was reading the repair book and all the linkages are spot on. next stop i think is pressure tests???jon

My 1648 does this a bit too ... it "creeps" a bit, and I just tap the opposite pedal to close the valve. Doesn't happen every time but it does happen.

I haven't really inspected it for a fix ... but I do try to keep it clean & lubed.

Sounds like yours is worse than mine.

DOING THE SAME WITH MY 1643 , USUALLY WHEN COLD. When it is running for some time, it is going back to neutral like it should.

Mine has done the creeping forever just tap other pedal. Now it is real hard to pu
