1547 vs 1648 and the 1643?

I been looking at specs and am getting confused, what is the difference between a 1547 and 1648? they look similar to me.

Is the 1643 basically the same as the above two but on a smaller chassis?

1648 is the new style that replaces the 1547. They will be very similar. The 1643 is a little smaller, compared more to the 1540 but with a 4 cylinder engine.

Not really the same. Tractors could run the same series for years and not have any changes. It seems more in recent years that the styles are changing more often, like every couple years.

The 1643 is a little smaller, compared more to the 1540 but with a 4 cylinder engine.

I took a look and see the 1540 is a Turbo 3 cyl @ 40hp where the 1643 is a N/A 4cyl @ 43 hp. so pretty close.
Any thoughts on these two different engines?

There are other changes as well. First, there are no more side panels to remove with the 1600 series. The entire hood raises for easy access. Also, there are changes to the operators station as well as arm rest on all 1600 series tractors. Not all the 1500 series had arm rest. Also, the 1600's have a hand knob turn buckle on the 3pt lift like the utility tractors.

Larger cab space on the 1600's as well. Best of all Massey is including a 5 year powertrain warranty now. However, this is for a limited time. None of the other major lines is offering anything like that. So, now is the best time to buy your tractor, plus the rates are still great.

I believe that the 1600 series also offers 3 factory rear remotes vs the 2 offered on the 1500 series.

they come with 2 mid, one rear standard, with a total of 3 optional.

I do not have a tractor yet, but am looking, and those 1600 are amazing. No turbo, guess that the cab has something to do with that??

Looks like the smallest platform with a cab is the 1533 being 121" long and 62" wide, The only turbo model- (1540) can't be ordered with a cab. I think I read somewhere it interferes with the A/C hardware.
I priced a 1643 @ 35K otd with loader. More than I want to spend so have asked for a quote on the 1533 & 1635.

A 1540 owner on here reported heavy fuel consumption when the turbo is spooled up.

Did you hear back on the 1635?? I am looking at the Power shuttle model, what about you?I am going to go by Monday, and check them out.
