I think I would like HST, I have heard nothing back yet and the dealer I checked with only had sub-compacts. Please post back here with any info you learn.

Looks like the smallest platform with a cab is the 1533 being 121" long and 62" wide, The only turbo model- (1540) can't be ordered with a cab. I think I read somewhere it interferes with the A/C hardware.
I priced a 1643 @ 35K otd with loader. More than I want to spend so have asked for a quote on the 1533 & 1635.

A 1540 owner on here reported heavy fuel consumption when the turbo is spooled up.
Yes, the 1540 uses a lot of fuel when she's running at higher revs. When the revs are down, it sips fuel like a miser.

Another thing I like about the 1540 is how quiet it is. I have no idea how quiet the new 4 cyl. 1600 tractors are, but I doubt they are as quiet as the 1540.

Hadn't thought about that, makes since with the exhaust having to pass through the turbo it would help to quiet it down.

35k is high. I got my 1643-loader-power shuttle, land pride 6ft cutter, 6ft box blade for alot less than that.

As far a being loud........it sounds like a tractor.:p I only have a few hours on it, but i love it so far.

I had to stand back and really "look" at what I want to do with it.
With just two tasks in mind-
1) Snow removal on a 50'x150' commercial lot and
2) Mow a sloped 1.5 acre field with trees

I started to realize that while these MF tractors are a nice unit they just seem overkill for my needs.

I figured if were to run a blower then I wouldn't need such a large tractor to push the snow around.
What I found was a 4WD, all wheel steer, short wheel base, 24hp Yanmar powered diesel tractor. Some will say "its a lawn mower" and I suppose it is but there are lots of options including 3 different cabs for winter and a front mount 54" blower.

Its a John Deere X749. The Dealer wanted to sell me the 2305 that has the same engine for the same price, tractor & mower only, no loader but the X749 fit my needs better so I ordered one.
