Snow 155D front snow plow and Hydralic problems

Does anyone have a front plow for there Yanmar 155D. I have an old 48`` snow blade from my old quad that i did not sell. I am thinking about building a mount that bolts to the loader bracket underneith and then putting a hydralic cylinder on the front and using my loader controls to lift and lower it. I have built myself a quick coupler setup for my load so i can put it on and take it off as needed. I dont like having it on while im mowing and tilling so i just take it off and leave it in the shop. If anyone has one let me see some pictures please.

Now i also have a problem with my hydralics. when im using it, i find that the hydralics leak back and it will dump the bucket on its own. I basically cant leave the bucket full and drive around with out it leaking down. Im guessing it is the seals in the cylinders but how do i find parts for these factory cylinders. Thanks

We typically just take the cylinders to a local hydraulic shop to get rebuilt. You can also carefully remove the seals & take them in to match up or sometimes they will even have part numbers on them. It could also be a leaking valve causing the problem.

We had a YM155D few years ago that had a front blade. It was a pretty neat setup. It is long gone now though.

cool well i guess i will take the cylinders in and have them look at them. I dont have the time to fiddle with the cylinders and then he can deal with fixing them.

Ya ill post some pictures of the blade when im done and of the brakets and such that i make for it.

The Yanmar front plow set-up you are talking about for the YM155 is model # YDF 155. It has an under mount bracket, hydro-turn 4' blade, and 2-spool hydro controls with a mounting bracket for them. Very heavy duty rig. I think it is more of a dozer blade then a snow blade. I recently picked one up at an auction for cheap and am intending on adapting it to my 1110d soon.If you google that model # for the plow, you will get a hit for someone selling manuals for it.

Ya i cant find anything. Post some links if you got some. I actually built the mounts the other day, now im just trying to find a nut that will fit the end of my cylinder so i can finish the mount onto the plow. It souldnt take me long to finish it, i just ran out of gas for my mig so i can finish it. I built mine out of a old quad 48" snow plow. And the blade im using has the kick off if i dig down to far with it. Im just mainly wanting it for snow but might use it to level some smaller dirt piles and such. Ill try to learn to post some pictures once i get it all flanged up. Should be in the next 2 weeks.

well i got the plow all flanged up. I had to buy a different cylinder than the one i orignally bought cause this one fit better and was more compact. It took me 3 weeks to get gas for my mig welder so i could finish welding it all together too. I took it out and used it on the driveway the other day and it seems to work ok. I need to either stiffen the springs up or hard mount it cause the kick off goes off once i hit a big rock in the dirt. But im pleased with the way it turned out and hoping it works good this winter. Ill have to post pictures later one i get my camera cord.
