Bill, I built my own from TSC and Northern parts, so I can't directly answer your question as mine is sort of a hybrid of stuff. But mine is a 12volt unit, the pumps came from Northern (I have 2 pumps & 2 15 gallon tanks). So far the pumps have been totally reliable. I use mine mostly for spot spraying, I would highly recommend the spray guns over the spray wands for spraying herbicide on ivy. I also plumbed a diverter so I can use a spray boom. But like I said, most of what I do is use the guns. The spray guns will take a beating (one of mine got run over on my asphalt parking lot and is still working!) Assuming no wind or mild winds, the spray guns will shoot an honest 30' stream, maybe a bit more. I have 30' hoses attached and wish I had attached longer hoses, at least 50' or maybe 100' hoses. My hoses are on air reels which I would highly recommend you consider, the air reels cost me about $20 at one of the local box stores and were easy to adapt to fluid use.
What MURPH said about the pumps is important if you want to use the spray guns. You want the larger pump for use with the guns because they have a greater flow rate.
