I bought a 750 with a model 160 belly mower the other day, but the mower was not connected. I've never mounted one, so I need help . . .

Is there a link for seeing instructions or diagrams? If so, I'd sure like to know.

I have been using a Ford 8n for the last couple years and the JD 750 is a MAJOR step up. The back blade already did some gravel moving and I look forward to using the JD snow blower next winter. Actually, I don't look forward to snow at all . . . but the blower should be much better than my Ford with a back blade.

I hope someone can help me with a link for the mower . . . and if there is one for the 750, that would be great, too.

I can't help you with MMM questions, but I wanted to mention that I've had two 750's before I moved up to the 790 that I have now. The 750 is a GREAT 21hp CUT. Is yours 4wheel drive? That makes a big difference. My first one was 2 whl drive, but I traded it for one that was 4x4. Neither one of them had the MMM so I can't give any advice or pointers with the mower. Hopefully someone here can help you out. Good luck!

It is 2wd. I'd like 4wd and loader, but those will come later . . . I hope. This is a temp for me if all goes as planned.

It did great with my 60" brush hog. Far better than my old gas Ford.

Like I already mentioned, I started out with a 2whl dr 750 and traded it for a 4x4 750. The 750 is really rated for 4ft implements but it will handle 5ft stuff as you have found out. Just be sure to add weight to the front end if you're using it on hilly terrain.

How much weight did you add?

Do I have to go with the JD weights or do you have a suggestion for another way to add some?

Mine had about 4 JD suitcase weights on the front end, the rear tires had ballast, and there were also some wheelweights bolted to the rear tires. Makes it a lot more stable if you have hilly terrain. If your place is pretty level, then you may not need to load the tires, or add wheel weights, unless you get a plow and then have traction problems. I would think about adding the front suitcase weights cause I remember how light the front end was on mine when I picked up the 4ft bush hog I pulled behind it. You don't have to use JD weights, most of the bigger suitcase weights will fit the weight bracket on the front end, you can always paint them green.
