Was going to add some lights for snow blowing this winter, u-bolt to the rops. Anyone know if the 1626 has a power source at the back of the tractor for such a project, or do you have to run wire from the battery at the front? Thanks and happy snow blowing.

Probably just as easy to get a fuse tap. You can get the type of power you want.

After some digging I did find two vacant wire leads at the rear. Theres a tag on them marked Power Supply : Horn max 2A and lamp max 3A. Now I'm no electrical engineer, but power supply seems obvious to me, however, is that a suitable place for a relay that could power a light bar? Seems like low amperage.

The amperage would definitely be too low to power a light bar BUT probably adequate to power a relay to feed the light bar. It would only need to provide power to activate the relay. You would need to run heavier wire to the relay then out of the relay to the light bar.

I really don’t see the need for a relay on a light bar. You can get a switch rated for the amp draw.

Thanks for the replies. I do almost all of my own work but electrical is a weakness. I did test the vacant leads and it is generating a 12v current. I ordered the lights off Amazon and should be arriving Monday. Lights come with relay and switch. Probably the best piece of advice I got off this site was using magnets to hold them on to the ROPS...genius, I ordered those as well from Amazon. Thanks fellas, much appreciated.

I wired one of the attached lights from Amazon for a rear work light. These lights are amazing and just one is plenty for the rear. I tested the light and it was pulling around 2.4 A, so I used the existing wiring to a toggle switch. I’m sure a larger lightbar would be too many amps for the existing wiring at the rear.

Post some pics of your install and how well it works. I was considering more forward light, but was unsure of where the best place to mount. I just worry about eating bugs with the light above my head! Good luck!

I plan on installing next set if days off. I sure will post some pics when I'm done. I appreciate the input. Thanks!
