Does anyone have a good guess as to the weight of a 1635 powershuttle with rimguard loaded 17.5L-24 r4 rear tires, DL120 loader with 66" hd bucket and CB20 backhoe? I'm getting a trailer for it and I think I need a 10,000# trailer but someone I know that is considering buying the same setup thinks a 7000# trailer will be fine.

My guess:
Tractor ~3200#
Rimguard ~600# per tire =~1200#
Loader ~1000#
Backhoe ~1500#
---------
Total ~6900# --> needing a 10,000# trailer.

Please correct me where I am wrong. Thanks.

have you considered taking, or having the unit weighed itself with all the fluids ? first off ? see if there is a public scale in your area, and have them get you a weigh ticket printed. In fact thats what I need to do myself with my 1643.
I am guessing that mine with the loader and rotory cutter has to be around 5000 lbs. but I have the 18' car hauler w tandam 3500lbs axles.
I can't run with loaded tires, cause most of my customers don't like the tracks left behind after I've been there.

This doesn't help you much with your question on the weight of your tractor, however in my past experience in these situations I've very seldom heard someone in hind sight complain that they bought too large a trailer, the much more common complaint is that they they wished that they had spent the little bit extra and bought the larger unit. I would buy the 10000# trailer if you think you're going to be anywhere close to the limit of the 7000# one, better safe than sorry.

10,000 lbs trailer weighs somewhere around 2,000 lbs itself.

whatever the trailer weighs comes off the top, then the tractor weight has to fit into what's left.

Subjective;
For a tractor with 17.5L24 R4s on it 3200 lbs seems very light - OK, so I don't know the1635.
You seem to have rounded up the RimGuard to 55 gallons, I think my tractor that has that size tires gained about 1100 lbs when I put the Rim Guard in it.
That particular tractor has a 1300 lbs loader and a 1100 lb Amerequip 8600 hoe .
My li'l tractor with 17.5L24s on comes to just about 7500 with rimguard,hoe and loader on, but the bare tractor is some 800 lbs heavier.

Just wondering if you ended up buying a trailer for the tractor. I am in the same position (1635 w/ CB20 and DL120. Rears are currently loaded with calcium but they need replacing and I am thinking I will forgo loading the replacements). 7K trailers are readily available used at good prices but the 10K units seem to be harder to find.

ABSOLUTELY NEEDS a 10K trailer.
One of the FAVORITE rigs to impound at weigh stations is the overloaded landscape trailer.
I'm glad to see it, seriously single axle 5K or 7K landscape trailers shouldn't be on the road with a bobcat or mini-ex on them.

I'm still curious as to what a 1635 bare tractor actually weighs - isn't that in the owner's manual ?

I ended up with a 12,000# trailer. It wasn't much more than a 10k and gives me some margin of error.

This is basically what I got: 20ft Flat Deck Trailer 12000# GVW HH-F12000A20 | Heavy Hauler Trailers & Truck Accessories
Their pricing seems to have changed a bit since I got mine.

After pulling it I would never go with anything less than a 10k trailer. It feels pretty heavy back there.

I keep meaning to bring it to my local scale but never get there.
