Hi all, Anyone out there have a 1640 FEL and could take a few pics of a discontinued part for me. (would be easiest if your FEL is off the tractor for what I need to see).
It's the left hand side sub frame assembly upright piece, its part number 70050-02557 Wedge, LH Upright.
I bought an older B7200 awhile back didn't realize on the left side, in the "pocket" on the tractor that receives the wedge it was completely rusted, musta been hanging on by a thread for awhile.
I was originally relieved to see I could order a replacement part for only $129 but sadly it was not in stock anywhere and I was told it was discontinued. I poked around on a few salvage sites and determined i would need to fabricate a repair. Fortunately the right side isn't nearly as rusted however, the bolts are giving me trouble on that side and I can't easily get it off to get a good look at what the bottom of this part is supposed to look like.
I've made a template fitting into the pocket and I have a crappy diagram from parts manual but looking at the right side and the drawing I see it looks reinforced on corners or sorta sitting on a "cradle" of plate steel I assume because this is a sliding surface. I would like to get a better idea of what this looks like. Any help would be appreciated.
I've attached a pic of my rusted part and the crummy drawing (the part I need to repair is labeled #1)

Thanks in advance.
