It's been about a year that I've owned the 1652. It has the Dyna QPS 4x4 transmission w/ cab, FEL and R4's loaded with rimguard in the rears. The R4's have done well, but not pleased with their performance in mud. I plan to replace them with ag's once they wear out. It's got plenty of power and has handled anything I've thrown at it. I'm pleased with the size. It's big enough for field use, but still just compact enough to fit all my woods roads to pull logs. I just have to watch out for branches on the cab windows and mirrors.

The heated cab is great plowing snow. The AC in the summer makes tedding and raking hay a joy. The fit and finish of the cab is amazing. It's extremely tight and quiet. No more being covered in dust when using the rotory mower.

I wish the 3 pt. hitch had a lever to lower and raise the arms at the rear of the tractor. It's a real pain to keep walking around to the cab to raise and lower the arms when hooking implements up.

The only problem I have with the tractor is the cab step and the PTO engagement lever. The step is weak and flexes a little more than I would like. I'm nervous it's going to snap off one of these days under my 210 pounds. The problem with the PTO lever is when tedding hay. Tedding hay I move a lot faster with high RPM's to cover more ground and toss the hay. The PTO lever is loose enough to vibrate until it kicks out and it's usually a while before I notice the tedder behind me isn't spinning. I consider these minor problems and don't regret the purchase at all.

Glad to hear you are happy with your purchase. I'm surprised there isn't some sort of friction adjustment on the lever to resolve your problem. Good to hear that after a years use it is still as tight as the day you bought it, good information considering you've used it for everything from field work to working in the woods with it.

I'm curious what you would say when comparing your 1528 to the 1652, especially regarding lift capacities / fuel consumption etc.

I haven't done any exact figures on the difference in fuel, but the tank on the 1652 is more than double the capacity. I was able to max out the lift capacity several times when moving boulders with the 1528. With a box blade on the back of the 1652 and loaded tires, I have lifted some large boulders and placed them on rock walls that would not have budged with the smaller tractor and still could have added to the load. The 1652 weighs in at 4100 lbs, while the 1528 was around 2500. That's a big difference between the two.The biggest diffence I see now is with pushing snow. I haven't seen a snow drift I can't bust through with the bigger tractor. That 1528 would get stopped several times when pushing snow. It seemed like the smallest frozen rock would stop that small tractor dead in it's tracks.

I had a problem with the PTO lever in my 1548 so I wrapped a bungee cord around it and hoked it to the seat track to hold it in place, kinda mickey mouse but it worked.

It's a hill called Bald Knob. It's on the back side of Blue Job Mountain on the Strafford/Farmington line. It's the best hiking/mountain biking in the seacoast area if you didn't want to drive to the White Mountains.

Thank you very much for the update. I am moving to Maine and thinking of selling my McCormick Gx50 and my Kioti ck27 and replacing them with a 1652 Exactly like yours except for the tires ( Ag). I am going to keep the TN75DA that i have.

How do you like the DynaQPS??
I am also thinking about getting a snow blower with it too.

Thanks,
Charley

I like the DynaQPS so far. It's the first tractor I've had with a shuttle shift and I absoluetely love that for doing loader work. MF claims the push button shift on the lever to change gears can be done on the move without clutching, but every time I try it regardless of what RPM I'm set at, the transmission slams a little harder than I would like. So I just clutch every time I change gears. Less stress on the trans.

My New Holland has a power shuttle and I love it. Clutch should last a lot longer too. I wonder if the shifting is dealer adjustable to not shift so hard.
